Be appointed by the county executive officer to serve without additional compensation;
(b)
Have no more than nine members including a member from the county executive office;
(c)
Have as advisors a representative from county counsel and a representative from CEO/human
resources;
(d)
Develop and recommend bylaws;
(e)
Determine the frequency and topics of its meetings;
(f)
Select subcommittee members for their expertise in targeted areas of safety;
(g)
Review and update the IIPP;
(h)
Make recommendations to the board of supervisors through the county executive officer
for changes to county safety policies, procedures, and practices;
(i)
Promote county safety programs;
(j)
Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the board of supervisors or the county
executive officer.
