§ 34A-18. Powers and duties of the administrative authority.

(a)

The administrative authority may adopt policies and procedures to implement and administer this chapter.

(b)

Within the unincorporated area of Santa Barbara County, the administrative authority is authorized and directed to enforce the provision of this chapter. It is authorized to consult with qualified experts in any matter concerning well construction and ground water protection to the extent it deems it reasonably necessary to assist in carrying out its duties under this chapter. The administrative authority may request and shall receive the assistance and cooperation of other officials of the County of Santa Barbara, so far as may be necessary in the discharge of its duties.
