This chapter is enacted pursuant to authority granted by Section 21101(e) of the California
Vehicle Code and Section 942.5 of the Streets and Highways Code, adopted by ordinance
of the board of supervisors, to permit the use of the public right-of-way for special
events and to allow the closure of roads in the county for the purpose of conducting
special events. This chapter shall be known as the "public right-of-way special event
permits and regulations" chapter.
